Why We Enjoy A Margarita?

Between the semisweet flavor and the warmth of the tequila, there really isn’t a wrong reason or way to enjoy a margarita. It is equally the drink of the cocktail party, the beach bash, and the night relaxing at the bar.

Margaritas Owe Their Name to Daisies and Prohibition

The margarita has been known to exist south of the border in Mexico and the southern US as a remix of the Daisy (which used brandy in place of tequila).  Margarita actually means “daisy” in Spanish.  While many people have attempted to claim inventing the drink, it was known to exist as early as 1935, and was first published in 1953 by Esquire magazine.
